poodle delight

Poodles walk with lightness, elegance and grace

Poodles can eat cow dung and then lick your face

A poodle will curl up in your bed if only you’d invite

And even if you don’t, there’s still a chance he might

Poodles run amok in the house displaying your shabbiest underwear

Usually when you have visitors or else you wouldn’t care

shoppoodlin'

Ahh returning from a long vacation from this bossy blog feeling better than I thought I would. After a crazy couple of months things are finally starting to fall back into place and I couldn't be happier.

They are finally on the last stages of my brand new house and all the bad feelings from the fire have been consumed with the excitement of shopping for new things to fill my house with! I am looking for Poodle items (no suprise there if you were guessing where I was going with that) because:

1. I love poodles

2. I love MY poodle. He saved our life when our house caught on fire. He's my hero.

I have been enjoying hours of combing through etsy postings while immersing myself in eleanor friedberger and the morning clouds and of course a bottle of Riesling.
let's trade!

first is this fantastical civil war poodle art "Willow". consider yourself bought baby.

I also kind of love these 60s black and white poodle plaques, perfect for any breakfast nook:

Of course no library of mine would be complete without these poodle bookends:

This adorable cuddly pillow is sure to delight any child. (and by child they meant of course adult with a poodle addiction):

oh man it is adorable. I can't wait to lay my head on this thing and open my copy of Poodle in the Rye.

This was made to be mine. I'm certain of it.

Two of my favorite things poodles and whiskey. This 1970s whiskey poodle decanter is fantastic:
all the better to drink you with my poodle

Vintage 1970's Jim Beam Whiskey Decanter - Penny the Poodle

I really adore the olive color of this poodle bottle. A pottle per say? Or maybe a botdle. Yes this is a vintage botdle that would be perfect for perfume or just to be pretty.

Great minds think poodle

Linda Rodin has always been on of my favorite stylists. From the beautiful buxom bare babes of victoria secrets to supermodels Laetitia Casta, Giselle Bundchen, and Helene Christensen. And to her love of the four legged love machines we call dogs. I think I fell into a deeper obsession with her when I discovered adorable Minky is her best friend and poodle. Now I was already pretty in love with her, mostly because I would love to be so fortunate to age so gracefully and beautifully. She is gorgeous, who wouldn't want to look like her. I also have been saving my pennies to get a hold of her magical face oil. A near-magical blend of essential oils, starting with a body oil, then a hair oil (that is a collaboration with the renowned hair stylist Bob Recine), and most recently a lip balm. You can find all the products that you may or may not want to gift me for Christmas, here.

poodles and scooters

I just visited the automotive museum last week and fell in love with the scooter exhibit. scooters are so romantic and classic and provide a sense of freedom that would normally be smothered away in the box shape of a car. I think everyone ought to start considering alternate means of transport. Appreciation of the present is possible in every moment of life. And certainly even more-so when a poodle is sitting in our basket. now i'm in the mood for a bike ride :)
